As you may know, two pickets had been kicked out on the train and graffiti was everywhere on the plastic and wood. Wakefield Recreation sanded and sealed the structures to remove the graffiti on the wood. They also used a product called Graffiti X and they were successful with removing the permanent marker writing on the plastic. Also, there is a product called Graffiti X that they have been successful with removing spray paint from plastics before, but they are not 100% sure if it will work on the permanent markers on the plastic. They are going to give it their best and do everything that they can, but they may not be able to get it all. That being said, sanding and sealing everything will take two days, so we wanted to make all owners aware of this maintenance.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;As always, we ask owners and parents to be vigilant at these play areas and to report any suspicious activity to the police as well as HOA. Ryland has also informed us that they are taking steps to ensure that their jobsites are kept orderly in preparation for the possibility of tropical weather. They will be removing all loose material and trash prior to Friday afternoon to limit the possibility of wind born debris. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;In preparation for the possible impact of Hurricane Irene, it is important to remember to bring in any objects that can blow away, including garbage cans, lawn furniture, garden tools, grills, plants, etc. and anchor any large objects that cannot be brought inside. Residents can call SCE&amp;amp;G and report the light out or call the management company.  Please note that when you contact SCE&amp;amp;G or the management company the utility company will need to know the nearest address to the light pole or the actual light pole number.  Sometimes this pole number is a metal tag attached near the base of the pole. This is the only way that SCE&amp;amp;G can put in a work order to have the light fixed. Some homeowners are having to go to great lengths to get their own cars out of their driveway due to this issue. We are asking that you please be courteous and respectful of your neighbor by not blocking their driveway or park in front of their mail box. This is a matter of common courtesy for all residents involved.
